XTREMEBEE.COM

Hello and welcome to XTREMEBEE.COM

This site has been created in order to promote the existence and awareness of the Dodge Coronet Superbee.

Some of you who've come to this site are here because you noticed this web address posted where my Superbee currently resides!  Thanks for stopping by and checkin out the site!

Others have happened across this site some other way, such as from a search engine or the like!  Thanks for popping by and checkin out the XtremeBee.com site as well!

This site is about the Superbee specifically, Dodge's and Mopars in general as well as overall high performance vehicle basics and, more specifically, high performance tuning for both POWER as well as better gas mileage!

Xtreme High performance with Very High Reliability are key factors in the logic and theories applied within this site.

We'll start with the basics first and then go into the different types of a vehicles for Xtreme performance and tuning thereafter.

SAFETY is key in this endeavor, if you don't consider safety in every aspect of your vehicle, anything could happen while you're cruisin down the road or racin at the track including, but not limited to, engine/drivetrain failure, brake failure, even STEERING FAILURE!! OUCH!

I'm currently going through the STOCK drum brakes on my Superbee, but have plans to swap out the front drums for 13 inch disc brakes using existing off the shelf parts, such as steering knuckles(spindles) from an early 70's dart, along with the discs and calipers from an early 80's magnum cop car.  This VERY high performance mod will only cost in the $75 to $150 range even if I use all new parts from an autoparts store!  This will increase my stopping power over MANY times what it is currently w/ the old antiquated drum brakes!

Currently, the Bee has:

- Engine: 1969 440 out of a 69 Newport

- Carb: Holley 750 double pumper

- Intake: Holley Street Dominator

- Heads: 452's, stock valves, Hemi purple springs, SERIOUSLY Home ported!

- Pistons: Flat Top Hypereutectic

- Rods: Stock forged, resized

- Crank: Stock Forged

- Cam: Dodge, Purplecam, 292, .509

- Headers: Tuned Hedman

- Exhaust: None

- Oil pump: Hemi Hi Volume, Hardened oil pump driveshaft

- Fuel pump: Carter Hi Vol, Mechanical

- Ignition: Stock Chrysler Electronic, w/ MSD 6AL

- Transmission: Stock, freshly rebuilt

- Torque Converter: Stock

- Rear End: Dana 60, w/ Posi 4.10:1

- Wheels: Aluminum Slots, 14 front, 15 rear w/ 255/50/15's...

- Weight: 3,600, no driver, no rear seat

- Best ET: 13.4, should be in 12's now

Other mods:

- Battery moved to trunk

- Aluminum Water Pump housing

- Aluminum Radiator

- Transmission cooler

- Manual steering box

Future Plans:

- Mini or full tub rear end

- Tie sub-frame

- Front brakes, drum to disc conversion

- Possibly install Rack an Pinion steering

- Fuel injection

- Turbocharge

- Nitrous Oxide

- Trans Shift Kit

- Ratchet Shifter

- Highway Gears, 2.73's? in an 8 3/4 rear?

- Paint and Bodywork

Once some of the above is done, this car should be in the 8's EASY! Turbo ANY V8 and you're sub 10 second quarter mile times IMMEDIATELY if you can hook up!

Big Stuff Fuel injection is looking good as well as possibly a set of generic T04 turbo's...

Also have a Vette which some may've noticed when passing by my place.

The Vette is a 1975 Stingray, currently has a 383 of unknown origin, I bought it w/ this engine in it already, pretty beefy cam, but I believe it's hydraulic, probably a 13 or so second car, haven't had it to the track... YET!

The Vette has:

Single 750 vacuum on it,

Stock HEI distributor

MSD 6AL ignition module,

Is a 4 speed, probably an M-21,

DEFINITELY a POSI independent rear suspension w/ 4 wheel disc brakes.

Has a Turbo body kit halfway installed,

Turbo hood...

Headers,

Flowmasters, which I turned out in front of the rear tires for the time being to get it to pass inspection here in Texas...

This car is out of Hawaii! Believe it or not! and doesn't have a drop a rust on it's body ANYWHERE!! Just kiddin, if ya know anything about Vette's, ONE thing ya should DEFINITELY KNOW, is that their bodies are made out of Fiberglass, so they'll NEVER EVER have any rust on the BODY, no matter WHERE they've 'lived' all their life. ha...

If you have questions or need any help w/ your vehicle or have anything you'd like to share just drop me a line.

Have a GREAT one n keep on burnin rubber! WOOOHOOO!!

Sincerely,

Todd... (a.k.a. Superbee1970)
